Official Fire Dave Hart Petition..........

Dave Hart has to go. We may as well send Cheek with him. It is to be demanded that Dave Hart go immediately. This is a sad atrocity. Everyone though I was a conspiracy theorist when he was hired...........was I too far off?

Will you join me?

No.

Hart isn't going anywhere. You have the "good 'ole girls" trying to drag him through the mud, because we are consolidating the departments, and people lost jobs. Well, that does suck, but it happens everyday.

i don't know it is alot of negative pub that UT doesn't need.

Im more concerned with what this will reveal and make public. Things that dont have anything to do with Hart and have everything to do with skeletons that nobody really wants out there.

i can agree with that, football program was bad when he was hired. martin was a great choice for HC and had done a hell of a job. still doesn't change the fact that football is the big money at UT and that the program sucks. if we were beating good teams, he might get a pass on some of these issues, but we are not. i believe the backlash from this will force cheeks to make a change.

If he is going to fire him it won't be mid season when we can still go 9-3... Hart never even hired Dooley in the first place, how has hart done a bad job?

just saying football program in crapper and scandal will probably cost him his job. he should have sent dooley packing when we lost to Uk last year. don't look for a mid season firing, especially since dooley still has SC and bammer to prove himself, but if he don't win one of those games i think a change has to be made. hart probably won't get to make it. will be interesting to see how the University backs him in all this.

Hart likely could have handled the Summit thing better but as long as he didn't act unilateral and kept those people that matter in the loop, then I'm not sure this will endanger his position. those in loop being the "big donors".

Handle better being waiting until after NCAA's to even begin discussing. there was no reason that this needed to be addressed in March.

Cheek is packing.

I mean I am just confused about this scandal, Pat Summit is sick with a terrible illness. Hart was trying to do what was best for the program... What he did was totally legal though. With a healthy Pat Summit I say never fire here but with an illness like dementia...

And Jennings seems determined to dig em all up.

true, but you can't force a legend out the way he did. it is the way he handled it that has him in hot water. maybe a public apology makes all this go away, but now that the lawyers are involved i have a bad feeling it is gonna get ugly.

coming from the guy who says Dooley is the right guy for UT now?

Losing money, pushing out legends, getting sued, FSU and Bamer ties. He is a Bamer GUY!!!!!!!!! He ****ing went to Alabama!!!!!!!!1

As much as i hate to admit it, you can't argue this. He has stirred up quite a bit for the short time he has been here. Hamilton fires Pearl right before the tourney, and now it seems Hart fires Summitt right before the tourney?! WTF?

If it is legal, what stance do lawyers have?

I'm not up-to-date in my wrongful termination lawsuit protocol. Is it normal to state in your suit that you were fired for either this or this? Seems like throwing a lot of mud at a wall to see if you can get anything to stick. Again, is this the norm?

I know we have something like one hundred and forty-two lawyers on this board. :D

Actually. Yes you can. It was well within his job description and rights to do so. He may not have been the most tactful about doing so, but he was her boss.

People seem to forget that Dave Hart probably did not make this decision on his own anyway. I would say that the UT $$$$$$$'s (boosters/doners) had say in this too. Just like in any corporation that has investers backing it. You may be the boss within the confines of the building, but the money is telling YOU what to do.

Hamilton had to go. Pearl had to go. Cuonzo was a bush league hire. Dooley has to go. Chaney, too. Sunseri sucks. Now Hart has to go.

yes legally you can, but when you aggitate the legend and fanbase and get lawsuits going it usually spells bad things for you. i think hart is in trouble. the way he handled this was stupid at best. summit is tennessee women's basketball.
