Ohio St. is proving the Boise effect.
Play 1 quality regular season opponent that you get up for and 1 bowl game. 2 good opponents.
In the case of Ohio State, their 2 good opponents were saved for the end of the season and they play in a BCS conference so it got them here, even if their conference is horrible.
I don't believe either could get this far if they played 6 of the "top 25" every year. jmo
I don't like Ohio State, but they played and beat 3 ranked teams (among them a #8 that finished 11-2 and a #18 that finished 11-3)
We saw what Michigan State did to Baylor, right? Ohio State slapped them around.
And they then proceeded to beat a top-ranked 12-1 Alabama that had bullied almost everyone.
I guess you're right in that they didn't play 6 top 25 teams. But they played 5...I really hate to admit it, but they're good this year.
