What a crap show, get the #1 seed in the tournament then look like they don’t even belong in a tournament. Not sure if they will even get a 2 seed now.

This game is the typical template for Tennessee tournament basketball. Probably won't make it past round of 32. Miss State wanted it more, have been tougher and better team both times. Tennessee defense has sucked the past 2 games

2 seed isn't bad at all. The problem is had it played out the way that it was predicted, and we landed as a 1 seed in the west bracket, that was a nice path to the final four. Not saying that's how the field will be laid out. As a 2 seed which region are we predicted to land in?

We usually do well in this tournament and underachieve in the ncaa. Maybe this year it will be the reverse. Not optimistic though

This is the one knock I’d have against Barnes that I think legitimate today. It was evident in the early minutes (with Knect passing on shots he normally takes) that Barnes wanted to get other guys involved offensively.. and that makes sense given the stakes in the Big Dance. If it had worked it would be brilliant and we’d all be talking about Santi and JJJ “being back.” It didn’t work, I think you have to let Dalton be Dalton next week. Dont worry about the other guys being involved.

Pathetic is anyone bitching about the refs in in this absolute ass kicking performance. If you whine about the refs in this one then you might as well just claim the other team always cheats when you lose.

Good shooting teams with multiple contributors can take the refs out of the game. I’ve been unhappy with some of the officiating this year, but by and large our losses were due to poor shooting performances. Way more worried about the guys here on scholarship that take most the season off.

This is so frustrating. They play well for most of the season and then lay down when it matters most. I don't get it either.

Not gonna lie, the first 3 games of the 4 game gauntlet sucked me in. I was really starting to think this team had what it took to make a run. Even the talking heads thought so. Something is amiss here. Another Vol team biting the dust in a very crucial game. A tale as old as time.

After watching games where Knecht had to score out of his mind for a win , I knew Tn just did not have no shooters to help him. I was not sucked in because of us not having shooters. Stop him and you have a really good shot in beating Tn

Agree. Blaming officiating is nothing but an excuse. All fan bases do it but it seems volnation goes above the norm. Play through it and move on.

The refs didn't go out there and punk this team. The refs didn't make this team shoot 28 3 pointers and only hit 6 (as of 3:21 mark)
The other team out physical us-pushed us around. We decided not to go to the basket.

This is why you can't get behind by 19 in the first half, it makes a comeback nearly impossible.

Especially slow deliberate teams like MSU & USCjr we matchup terrible with slow Os with bruiser bully type big men add in refs that let them play and that is a matchup problem for us going forward.

Barnes needs to pop a Xanax and let Knecht do what he does if he wants to actually win something substantial. This participation trophy crap won’t get it done.

DK can’t get it done by himself. Not enough dogs on this team. Only players with that dog in them are DK, ZZ, and Mashack.

Twice in this half first Vescovi now DK give state credit for then taking advantage. They have played their best game all year. Reason why they were top 25 start season

Just seems like too much mental distraction. The post season talk, awards, senior day, etc. This is a reality check for the NCAA tourney. First seed may be the gone but the focus will probably return.

Not having stability in James and Vescovi hurts this team way to often. Appreciate everything they have given to this team but im excited for what may come next year. They both act to afraid to shoot most of the time.
