There have been bad football teams but I don't remember a team just flat out quitting. I guess you could go back to the SEC Tournament game in the early 90s where Kentucky beat the Vols by 50 or 60 points but that was just a bad team. This team had a lot to play for and they just quit early in the game. Not a fan of TN football, eh?
so they got tired out in practice. One would think Barnes would chage up practice toward the end of the year. That when it seems his teams always runs out of gas or looks gassed come tourney timeAccording to Ron Slay yesterday on 104.5 The Zone, we held a “rough” practice and looked dialed in and playing aggressive defense against one another. He said he was there for an hour and Knecht only missed one shot during the whole thing.
You must be talking about yourself. After winning this tournament 2 years ago, we got the same seed as we were projected going in to the tournament. Other teams besides us are good. MSU played great today and we didn't. We clinched the 18 game marathon with one game to play. Winning at Rupp, Coleman and Stegman down the stretch. We're 24-8 SEC champs and a 1 or 2 seed in the Big Dance. They're anything but embarrassing. You?What an embarrassment.
I can't believe how bad they are playing right now. They are a liability on offense. A combined 1-12 today? Are you kidding me?I'm so ready for Santi and jj to move on. I appreciate what they've done, but it's gotten pretty stale.
Rewatch the Kentucky game during Tyler bray’s timeThere have been bad football teams but I don't remember a team just flat out quitting. I do not remember a single game in Tennessee Athletic history where the team showed less heart and less pride in wearing the Orange and White. They got punched in the nose early and they just flat out quit. They never attacked the rim nor did they defend it. They just flat out quit.
Agreed, I do tend to think he overdoes it when it comes to that stuff. I mean, they haven’t forgotten how to play, no need to run them into the ground the day before a tournament.so they got tired out in practice. One would think Barnes would chage up practice toward the end of the year. That when it seems his teams always runs out of gas or looks gassed come tourney time
