Nothing says democratic state more than enforcing a 72 year old law regarding gas pumps. How are they going to handle the transition to electric cars being pushed? I can see it nowSo how many days in advance do they need when I need them to come out to fuel my mower? View attachment 376868
pardon me sir I need to plug this into the socket for you

There have been attempts by both R and D administrations in New Jersey to repeal the law, but public outcry at the potential loss of jobs has always stymied attempts to do so.
I would not be surprised to see EV charging kiosks at fuel convenience stores to continue the same practice out of tradition and citizen demand, not government reach.
If it's within walking distance of wherever they're going, it would make sense. I think we'll see a completely different mindset for EV charge locations than we do petrol stations.
There is some millenial dipshit that posts videos on YouTube of making long distance travels across the country in electric cars and it's quite revealing as he reveals his troubles charging. He has no problems at all with Teslas, but the rest of the car world hasn't quite figured it out yet.You think one will sit at a CS for potentially 1 hour to charge their vehicle? The faster one charges, the life of the battery diminshes as well
I have always wondered why the adapter isnt part of the car itself? All you then need is a 240v extension cord, also part of the car, a plug and you are good to go.There is some millenial dipshit that posts videos on YouTube of making long distance travels across the country in electric cars and it's quite revealing as he reveals his troubles charging. I am just trying to figure out where they get their surplus KW. Windmills wont cut it or even our current power structure WITH carbon fuel will not
I notice that every place this guy pulls up there is always a fence with huge transformers and rectifiers close behind them. You don't get to have 10 charging stations with 150+ kilowatts of power each by connecting to the local gas station 200 amp 240 volt panel.I am just trying to figure out where they get their surplus KW. Winner, winner, chicken dinner. The chemical disaster involved in making the batteries, the battery waste when they will no longer hold a charge, and the fact that the electricity to charge them has to come from somewhere totally eludes way too many people.
I'm still on the hydrogen conversion bandwagon; responsible and viable battery tech for full-time, combustion-free transport is generations away if at all.

It was posted here a few years ago but this was attempted in Israel. The battery module was held in place by four bolts. The interchange was done by robots and the process was supposed to have taken less than 30 minutes. It is now.
I am wondering about some bottom fed system with interchangeable batteries.

You are only the 3rd person that I've seen that has mentioned the HUGE issue of disposal of these batteries. I have a tree-hugger friend that constantly harasses me about drinking bottled water. My response to her is that it was the liberals that pushed everybody to start using plastic bottles (and plastic everything else) 30-40 years ago because the plastic was easily recyclable. Don't blame me that the liberals lied and now you have plastic stacking up everywhere.Winner, winner, chicken dinner.
