Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

GT missed a golden opportunity to stop Miami right there and end this game. Played prevent defense on 4th and 7 instead of actually trying to stop them. I would have played real defense on that snap. If they stopped them, GT has the ball at the miami 20 and worst case can kick a FG to put them up 31-16 and its game over. Instead, they gave 10 yard cushions everywhere "4th and Chavis" and we all know how great that strategy is...

Yep. TD miami. Now the pressure is all on GT again

Got a question for you. Any thoughts about refrigerating alcohol - the real stuff - not wine? I know some people even keep vodka in the freezer. What about things like whiskies, rum, tequila ...?

I don't understand it.

Maybe tequila since gringos tend to enjoy chilled Blanco tequila. Rumpleminz. Fireball.

Liqueurs and flavored spirits that you shoot straight are typically chilled. Bailey's.

Any of the 4 SEC teams will blow Miami out in the playoffs. Their defense sucks balls. They are slow AND small.

42-14 style dirtnap IMO

Welp. This is how you lose to Miami by 2. Give them the ball back with 3 timeouts and 2mins on the clock. Good grief man.

How the hell do you LOSE 5 yards running the ball on 3rd and 1 ?!?!? By calling a slow developing, looping play instead of a QB sneak, HB dive, or FB power. Poor coaching, poor execution. Good grief.

Always favored Ford even though I’ve purchased others. Got rid of that Nissan Titan I was driving, gave it back to the fleet and got me a new F-250 Lariat. Went with the 7.3 Godzilla instead of the 6.7 diesel and so far I’m impressed. You’re right, it’s basically a rolling computer.

Wait til it starts nagging you about doing this or that. Mine is telling me change the oil - apparently it doesn't know about the recalls I haven't had it in for. In the past it sent me text messages that I wasn't driving enough and it was turning off some functions to preserve the battery. Not sure what it turned off because the doors still unlocked and everything seemed to be working. The one thing I thought was a meh actually turned out to be a favorite last winter ... the heated steering wheel. I was already spoiled by seat heaters, but the heated steering wheel really is nice.

should of put his head down on that carry..wimped out

Yikes!

I have a convert-a-ball hitch that has all three balls swappable that I leave hooked up in the receiver but if I am using the 3” ball I have a dedicated heavy duty hitch I swap out if I am getting the load out on a public highway. I bumper pulled an overloaded dump trailer rated at i think 14k lbs. Had wet dirt in the last two loads and it was HEAVY! Serious pucker factor.

You trying to convince us now that you have three balls?

How many guys have yall seen that would have either ran into the endzone or out of bounds on that carry?

Most of them. Have seen it many times. That kid listened to his coaches....his coaches were smart enough to TELL him to get the 1st down and get DOWN. Ballgame. Beautiful.

Like I said before...Miami defense sucks man. 42-14 style vs a UT or UGA in my opinion. Their Oline isnt great either.

Vandy's QB is suing the NCAA apparently because the years he spent playing Jr college football limits the time he can play Div 1 football and collect NIL. Part of the lawsuit uses the Sherman Antitrust Act as justification.

The lawsuit argues that the NCAA and its member institutions "have entered an illegal agreement to restrain and suppress competition" and are violating the federal Sherman Act.

One of these days somebody is actually going to find a crooked court that will make that argument stick, and we will wind up without professional licensing boards. That's gonna suck when a "doctor" can just claim to be a doctor and so on. There actually are reasons for organizations that regulate and make rules regarding how business (including sports) will be conducted.

I've yet to see a collegiate or professional athlete forced into "athletic slavery" against his/her will - they all seem to work hard to be accepted as "slaves". In fact, I'd argue that coaches, universities, NCAA, et al keep all of us here off the field by restraining our meager talents therefore unfairly and artificially restrict us from our fair share of NIL money. You gotta love it when the privileged argue they are treated unfairly.
