I haven't noticed it in a while if it has been there the whole time. but for some reason I am noticing it today.

No, this is good especially if you are on the western edge of EST; I'll admit that when I'm at the other house being on the eastern edge of CST it's a bit off. I prefer we just pick standard time and stay with it because it shouldn't be light at 9 PM.

I was wrong, it was today (they were closed for Veterans Day) he called and everything worked out.

I've been looking over the CFP BS and came to the conclusion that the SEC should do away with the SEC Championship game. All it is going to accomplish is give the winner an automatic berth in the playoffs and probably eliminate the other team from the CFP. If you don't play the game, both have a reasonable chance of getting in. The whole process is stupid. I could be wrong in my estimates, but BYU, Boise ST, PN St, Miami, and probably IN simply don't belong there regardless of conference championship or W/L record.

Because of schedule TU is definitely suspect; our schedule is pretty weak, but it shames the records of several who will be in - IN, PN St, ND. It's the old time big10 bias at work again - as bad as it ever was. TU played four ranked teams - lost to GA; Vandy was more or less a one hit wonder in the rankings; and MI and OK would never have been ranked if not for preseason wild azz guesses based on nothing but history. That thinking can be deeply flawed - FSU and USC made the preseason top 25 - FSU the top 10. It's like round up the usual suspects and pick a spot - and some of the usual suspects were definitely not guilty because they were drunk in a gutter somewhere and not a threat to anybody but themselves.

Yep. Been saying I dont want us to play in the SEC champ game. Just beats up our players, risk serious injury bc the other team is gonna have beasts on both lines like us... and losing it can get you left out of the playoffs which is BS. I too wish they would 86 it but theres too much money involved

He really was. He was an incredibly nice and respectful old fella and a good Christian example too. After he passed, his son logged in on his account to let us know that we had lost him. Everyone here that knew him posted about what a great guy he was in response to his son, and our "water cooler" type thread was renamed in his honor. Makes me happy that you brought him up, bud. God bless Gramps and his family who surely miss him.

While I did have bacon, it was posted as a joke in the Fixin America thread, and a mod thought it off topic and placed my post here..just a little levity to lighten the super serious and impactful debates in this forum.
