A piece of advice to any of you youngsters out there thinking about going into business for yourselves, show up when you say you will. If something happens and you can't, call! You never know how much business a no-show and no communication can cost you.
Talk about something that really pisses me off! That and being excessively late, I can’t stand being late.
My biggest pet peeve and the quickest way to earn your way out the door is to not communicate with our customers. Ish happens and you're going to be late or not be able to show up when you said you would but dammit the phones work.
This little peckerneck roofer stood me up 3 times without calling, its cost him at least 2 bids on new builds mine and my son's. Might cost him my buddies (home builder) business.
