So my daughters Nissan Xterra started running rough. Check engine light. Checked the codes and its misfiring in the #1 cylinder. That means sparkplug or coilpack that sits on the plug. If it had been the #5 or #6 cylinder, it would have been an easy replacement....
To replace the plug or coil on the #1 cylinder (front passenger side cyl) I had to remove pretty much everything lmao. Engine cover, intake manifold, throttle body, plenum, several brackets and 2 hoses besides the big ones on the intake.

^^^You can see most of the removed parts in this photo. Took this photo in joy that i could finally get to #1 coil and plug to remove them. Decent plugs were $11 bucks and the coilpack was $120. I rolled the dice because I don't have $120 to play with and just replaced the plug. Now she has to drive it 50 miles or so to see if the light comes back on. In which case, i will have to remove all this crap again and spend that $120 plus a couple more hours of my time. The 2nd time will go much faster when/if I need to, as I wont have to follow a youtube mechanics video and already know exactly what to do, which sockets etc for where and so on. Anyway, will find out tonight or tomorrow if I have to do this again. This 4.0 liter V6 has been good though. It has 200k miles on it now after my son and now her driving it . Second photo is when i got it all put back together this afternoon for reference. Ridiculous to have to move this much crap to get to a spark plug which is "routine" maintenance...
