I'm not sure where I fall on the OP's a troll decision. He has consistently brought info here. I hope it it accurate. Yes, OP named names and put that out there. To play devil's advocate for a minute, if you are a troll, you can just go grab a name and put it out there. If you're trolling you don't care about outing a source and ruining a relationship. I could make up a theory and say I've been friends with Shannon Brown's family for years. You would then do a google search and see he is a member of the BOT and the Executive and Compensation committee. Then the fire has been started and social media/message boards would take care of the rest.




***Disclaimer: I do NOT know Shannon Brown or his family. I was just showing how easy it is to have and name "sources". Carry on.

Very few of them seem to have true journalistic talent...the ability to sniff out the truth, the depth of contacts needed to absolutely confirm (or deny) information, the responsibility to withhold statements until they have real confidence, and on and on.

Just really disappointed with them. And not talking solely about locals like Swain and everyone at WMNL. Also talking national coverage, like Finebaum and CBS. They get played like violins. It's amazing to me.

Ah well, it seems to suit John Currie. Which suits us.

agreed. and to your last point, it may mean that we have an AD that really does have some control over things.

and that's a very good thing.

That's some of the best @$!# talking your ever gonna hear right there. I sure miss it. I was amphib Navy so I was always had the pleasure of going up against the "red legs". Hahaha

On another note, I've been reading everyone's posts using Jon Grudens voice and the beginning of your post made me crack up 🍻

Orange pill said his source was a sitting BOT member but did not name names. Legendary said his source was John Foy.

Did Currie say on record he was swinging for the fences? Serious question. Because if its coming from "sources" take it with a heaping cup of salt.

But entertain this idea. Hoke comes out and the Vols dominate LSU. Then they go and crush Vandy. Same players..different HC..hmm. Since Fulmer I have zero faith in UT making a good hire. I'll believe it when I see it.
