I believe that Gruden made crazy demands and that Curry met them. I believe that Gruden got cold feet and said no. I believe that Curry asked Gruden to keep quiet as he went to plan B. That's what I believe. I hope that I'm wrong and it's Gruden.

Chicken curry?

No way anyone ever writes that head coach in waiting in a contract.

I still haven't figured out how you know everything, but Im glad I know someone that does.

I don't think it's a good idea or it would actually happen, with Tee or anyone. But I don't know that it won't as fact.

Anchors aweigh, brother. Always a pleasure to meet an American swabbie. You guys are the best thing afloat.

Sure are! Although I can verify the Royal British Navy has beer vending machines onboard. So they are good in my book also 😉

I'd guess that the interest in plane tracking is what has calmed down. When a person/company has multiple jets it typically means they have places to go.

Was thinking more of the university's plane. I know boosters' planes are flying around all the time. Would be interesting, but not conclusive, if UT's planes were sitting idle since Thursday. You would think, even with a home game this weekend, if we didn't have our guy we'd be zipping all over the place. Just a thought.

What if he's using Jimmy Hyams and we're just not listening?

Yep. If its not gruden, I think it's safe to say we would have no one to blame but ourselves for the eventual and inevitable blowback our fan base would receive.

From VQ poster in response to pills post:

I am very skeptical. Having been an associate at a large law firm in the South early in my career, I can tell you that if this is true, this associate is using extremely poor judgment. And they would be fired if this got back to the partnership (which wouldn't be that hard for somebody to figure out if they saw that post).

Agree, not buying what he/she are selling!

Exactly.

Unless, of course, he or she was instructed to do so.

I'm not salty about Fulmer. I meant every hire since him.

I dont watch the NFL so I had no idea who Kiffin was. Google..oh losing record. Dooley. Google coach. Losing record. Jones. Google coach. And with Jones I was surprised he stayed after 3 years. His trend was to bail as soon as Kelley left and ride the coattails of his players and coaching.

I've googled all the names I have seen tossed around as a sort of pre-preemptive move for this coaching hire. I will remain highly pessimistic until the announcement. Either I'll be super stoked or meh.

That's the way most if us are.

I think Currie is smart enough to realise that a good portion of this fan base is on the ledge and ready to jump off if he doesn't get a great hire.

He was here for the Fulmer years so he knows what we are historically as program.

I think that's a plus for us.

I had my doubts about Currie in the beginning. But from the way he has controlled info coming out, that shows me he is competant in managing his people.

He has also been able to secure $340 in donations for stadium renovations during one of the worst periods in Tennessee football history. Do you honestly think there weren't promises made about a change in coaches and the culture of the program to secure that?

To me, this hire is bigger for Currie than just hiring a coach. His ass is on the line. This will define him as an AD. With this hire his legacy can be he was the savior of Tennessee football or another failure and the fanbase slipping farther and farther away.

I think he was vague enough that it’d be hard to nail him down. I’m not sure I understand what he even said. Lol.

Maybe it’s to the point where it’s going to be announced soon so no worries for them?

Exactly. Gruden not shutting it down on Mike and Mike and his comment on Seattle radio after telling them not to bring up the UT job. Why would he say not be bring it up unless there's something to it? There's absolutely no way he's trolling us considering hit ties, his wife's ties, and his son currently attending.

I also wondered (and this may not even matter) but when Caliendo did his impression Friday to say he was going to be our coach, do you think they would have allowed that if there was no merit to any of this? He had just been on the show and I'm sure it was discussed in some capacity off camera.
