Official Jon Gruden Thread 37

I truly believe some people would rather hear this than be patient for an announcement. As well as some people want it to be over so they can be right with their “gruden would never come” narratives. People need reassurance every 10 minutes, just form your own opinion and be patient.

He's just coaxing the Mullen ballwashers to go ahead and leave.

Afraid of? Nothing. Sackhuggers are hoping he’ll pop in and give them a quickie so they can feel good till the next twitterer with 8 followers post something that shatters their day again. I’m saying, grow a pair.

It's a message board. You ask questions and may or may not get answers. Its how they work.

When did he say this? I see this mentioned a lot but never actually saw him say that. I saw that he said that he would not break the news if we hired Gruden, because that wouldn't be his place.

I never read that he said he won't be back until the announcement was made. People were saying this before he broke his silence the other day too, but he came back to say what he said about the red October.

I think he said it back in thread 31? Might have been earlier, but I remember seeing something along those lines from him.

Good idea. Clear them all out, then we'll split all the beer.

I believe the disinformation is put out for two reasons:

-to keep what's actually going on as tight as possible, maybe for protection purposes, timing, etc.
-to determine who's leaking intentionally false information

In the context of that tweet, I would be disappointed if he wasn't.

Agreed, I take it as Currie has given Gruden an offer and a deadline, and he is actively looking for other coaches to interview as well just in case Gruden says no, which is what a good AD should be doing.
