I want Gruden as much as the next guy, but lets be realistic in this thing.

Jim Haslam purchased the Cleveland Browns for 1 billion dollars. Money will not be an issue. The main hurdle is if he is willing to come here.

I understand what you are saying. I also understand the desire to return to coaching after you have left. Gruden is set for life even if he never works another day. Gruden is a football coach. He has expressed his desire to coach again. Money isn't the only factor. People leave lucrative jobs to pursue a less paying job that makes them happy all the time. However, I don't see money being an issue. ESPN isn't going to pay Gruden more than Berman, and UT is going to flash a boat load of cash as well.

I don't understand the love affair with Charlie Strong. 7-6 back to back seasons in the Big East is hardly impressive. His 6-0 start this season isn't exactly impressive either.

5-2 North Carolina
2-4 Pittsburgh
1-6 Kentucky
1-6 Florida International
1-6 Missouri State
0-6 Southern Miss

That's about the least impressive 6-0 record I've ever seen.
