Thats why, if whats out on twitter and such is true, the stadium is half red. Going to be another long year if we don't win.

Hate to say it , but I expect that to be the case.

The thing that makes me sick is they act like they feel sorry for me. And the endless talk about how Dooley is so nice and he is really a good coach tells me all I really need to know. We said the same thing to them for years until they hired Saban. We never seem to be playing at a high level at the same time anymore.

I tried to start a "Hire DuBose" campaign when they let Shula go. They didn't listen.

Calm down...Dooley just needs more time.

Where do these impatient people come from? I mean Dooley is just in year 0.025. Only us rational folks see that we can't expect him to have our team rebuilt to the point where we can tackle, cover, contain, punt, kick an xp or fg consistently, know that the ball on a kick-off is live unlike a punt, not constantly have delay of game and illegal procedure penalties on crucial 3rd and 4th downs, and count to eleven.

Only us rational realistic posters can see that more time is needed and deserved to address these and other fundamental issues in football that the players have been exposed to since pee-wee football. Dooley has earned that time. We beat Akron who is the best 2-22 team in the nation over the last couple of years. He outwitted Terry Bowden the son of Bobby. We all know that if a coach's dad was really good and able to win a national championship , those traits are automatically handed down to their offspring- yes, I'm calling a Derek Dooley national championship at UT. It's a scientific fact, but the impatient crowd are too impatient to look up the facts. Plus we beat NC State who beat FL ST coached by Jimbo Fisher who took over for Bobby Bowden, the winningest coach in NCAA history. So in effect, since we beat NC State who beat FSU that was once coached by the all-time winningest coach and we beat Akron who is coached by the all-time winningest coach's son where coach's sons automatically inherit their father's greatness when we beat Akron making Derek Dooley better than Bobby Bowden. Only those that know football can see these points.......

Whew. That may be one of the most sarcastic posts in the history of the interwebz.

I run a business too and have a 7 year old and could not agree more. Maybe some of those that are bashing us (me) should go back and look at some earlier posts. I came into this season more positive than ever. I thought Bray really had it together as a leader but was a little concerned after his summer antics. I thought Darick was a cancer. All along I gave Dooley the benefit of doubt but after the Florida game the train just derailed for me. I was so hyped for that game, more so than any other in recent memory. I watched Dooley and the team hang their heads and give up. Leaders never let that happen so many times without correcting it. He has not even helped these kids realize what it feels like to win a big one. Tonight is his last chance, after the UF game I cannot imagine SC being a bigger win than Miss State would have been. They are on a 2 game skid.

I will never root against the Vols and never have. I hope we beat the shat out of everyone else we play. I just do not think it can happen with Dooley at the head just the same as I wouldn't be successful if the owner of the business I run was the same type of leader. I freakin bleed orange, have bought (brand new) orange and white vehicles, I am part of the Vol Navy but mostly I am brutally honest.

I now agree with my buddy that worked with him at LSU. He is a blue blood spoiled brat that feels entitled to win without ever learning how to be a leader. Dooley never "moved up" the career ladder anywhere he has worked, and his last name and relationships got him the jobs he has had. It's certainly not his record of wins, record of leadership, or even his record of being able to escalate the career ladder within any one organization.

The bolded part is beautiful....Shakespearean even.

Can I ride/hang out with you and the Vol Navy sometime? I'm really a nice guy in person that requires little upkeep. I'm even litter box trained....

Well done! :clapping:

I am one of those who liked Dooley's personality (for the most part) but know that the team deserves/needs better. Who is it? I am not knowledgeable concerning the ins and outs of coaching so that is why I follow these threads closely and I appreciate the knowledge posters impart.

I am in Nashville every Labor Day weekend with my oldest daughter. That's the National Championships of clogging where her team will be the 3 time defending national amateur champions in the 7-9 year-old age group....yeah, I'm shamelessly bragging on my kid.... get over it. :)

BUT- I will take you up on it later. I'm also a hunter's/boating education instructor. I can't drink to excess due to my health/medication. I can have a couple with you and be the boat DD......:) After all friends don't let friends drive their yacht drunk..... I'm serious about this.
