Money aside, I definitely feel bad for Dooley. The situation he came into sucked and his interviews have been enjoyable. Definitely seems like a nice guy. He just doesn't appear to be the right coach for this job. Not that he would take the job, I wouldn't hate the idea of him as an assistant.

Agree, I think he still has potential to be a good coach, he's just not worthy of coaching at a caliber program at UT.

Something else to keep in mind about Dooley. Wasn't he a big reason for the new facilities? I know he at least revamped the plans to make them easier to get around.

He really wanted to succeed and cared about this program. Just doesn't look like it was meant to be.
