That's saying something considering how conservative he is and his initial thought that 6 wins would buy Dooley another year.

That's the safe prediction giving history but they are thinking big. Of course it's ultimately up to the coach to say yes. It may end up a less "huge" hire IF Grudens ultimate answer is no once true offers can be made but right now they seem to be thinking bigger than Smart but he is definitely on the radar. If it ends up being a coordinator hired it will most likely be Smart imo. I just do not think that is what they are thinking at this point.
