Thats what I have heard, but what I THINK is it is dangerous to wait and have to announce after an unlikely upset victory, no matter how long the odds are. I am going to go out on a limb and say, although I am 100% certain Dooley knows his fate, they will have a hard time pulling the trigger next week if something happened and we accidentally win. If that happens, and Dooley is not let go, that doesn't bode well for Gruden coming. I cannot imagine a firing after a win over a ranked team (finally) and not just letting him finish the season. Thats why I was hoping some got there way and he was released today....but they didnt.

The time line for Dooleys departure is largely dependent on interest from the "huge" hire everyone I know continues to elude to. This next week is HUGE for the future of UT football in an immediate sense.

Dooley already has been told....and they are not going back regardless of what happens against USCjr. The announcement date is a formality, based upon a timeline already in place.

He would stay in the garage if we ever get a house, and the cats would stay inside the house..So they would be separated from each other..Your plan of getting a free meal stir fry meal with orange yum yum sauce didn't work on me.:p

He knows....has known for a week. He's being allowed to decide how he goes out. He may coach out the season, or an interim could be named.

I think the timing rests a lot in the USCjr game goes as far as an absolute timeline. This is my opinion, not anything anyone has said.

I have also heard his health might result in a interim situation regardless of how he "wants to go out", or at least be the "reason" he doesn't finish the season.

Totally agree on the health issue. That may be his stated excuse for not finishing it out.
