Ledzepvol (12) 11:26 PM Yesterday (#P) ( Report! )

I have a fraternity brother from ETSU, who is the brother in law of Jon Gruden. I was a Lambda Chi at ETSU back in the mid to late 80's, anyway I asked my frat brother if his brother in law, Jon Gruden, would actually take the UT position, and he said to me tonight that it is "looking good" and "close to a 75% chance he would take it". That doesn't mean he will take it but it is more of a reality than a hoax, like some may think. He also told me that Coach Gruden would want "complete control" of the program, just like Saban at Bama. It will be interesting to see how how it all turns out.

So you know Kenny Chesney I presume?

I didn't know Gruden had a sister.
Interesting.

Ok, here's Gruden, in orange, and with a trophy. Alas, the crowd has not showed up. Yet.

...Can't help it, this is THE CHANCE for Tennessee to DOMINATE the SEC. I get freaked out whenever i hear something bad because of Tennessee's past reputation of screwing things like this up.

What Sparty is saying doesn't sound "bad" to me, it just seems like it's complicating things and that it could end up being a big hurdle. Maybe too big, idk.

I have no idea if Gruden will result in us dominating the SEC. I do know that while he's here it will be hella-entertaining.

Johnny-ball didn't dominate the SEC and there were some crappy years but the good ones were good. 1985 in particular was spectacular.

Everything is out of our control. Relax and enjoy the ride. I am confident an effort is being made to make this come together but if it doesn't we will survive.

two part process. If only part one occurs I'm good so long as the second part comes together with a good option. My strong preference is Gruden is the second part.

It would make for an exciting time for sure. I am not going to lie, I want this badly.

In terms of time and location, the story checks out as best it can with a quick web search. I can't verify him, but I can't bust him either.
Lol, I am almost disappointed. I wanted to bust a troll.

Well, then great. I guess it's looking good.

Have you checked the Greek membership at ETSU? :)

Just read on another thread where Gruden is in Little Rock. They have the plane number and everything. Coincidentally it is the same plane Lovie flew here...
