I will just say this and then call it a night. I realize that in the grand scheme it means nothing, but if Dooley is coaching here next season I will not spend another dime on anything Tennessee. I will pull for my team from my couch. I will not drive six hours and drop money on tickets or a hotel room. The absolute crap that Dooley displays is an embarrassment and not worth it. If Dooley returns it sends a clear message that the powers that be at UT do not give a rats ass about winning. Anyone that hopes for this just so they can come on a message board and crow about being right is a loser P.O.S.
With that, I bid you all a goodnight.
This lines up with everything I was told....over a week ago"Gruden is #1, #2, #3 and #4 on UT's list of coaches. They are even involving Peyton Manning in this. They are courting him on many fronts." "I am hearing they may let Dooley dangle in the wind and try to have a coach in place because they want the deal done first." UT has no one else on their WISH LIST at this time" Tony B.
The decision hasn't been made. Quit waiting for an announcement. There won't be a decision until Monday at the earliest.

Basilio knew it when I did, but has only recently been turned loose to talk about it.
you know, i am reading all the boards and reading articles on this and I am getting really concerned. I am concerned that T will only look at the money involved and give this guy more time. I hope the AD knows that in the long run it will hurt T financially since Football supports all other sports at the school, just the nature of the business. But will everyone be OK with basically starting over and potentially having 2 more losing seasons? I just want them to be back in the hunt and contenders on a national scale year after year again!
A lot of money people want Dooley gone now but looks like the decision has been made to get Gruden on the hook first according to Tony B.
I'm beginning to think the absolute earliest we'll hear about Dooley will be Monday. He was given the option to exit on his terms, so he may coach it out.....but I doubt it. Internal strife seems to be the holdup on the Dooley announcement.
Reading that article was like reading a synopsis of what Boro, Jay and the guys have been trying to tell us for the past weeks.Again Boro that is the same as Tony B. is hearing. Many money people wanting it done now and Hart wanting it locked down. As you have said there is no "saving Dooley's job" now. All about timing. Ahhhhh, I am more relaxed than I have been in days.
Buying out Derek Dooley and staff could cost as much as $9.3 million over four years » GoVolsXtra
