The amount of faith people put in Bassilio baffles me.

Remember when Bassilio's "sources" told him Rogers was gone because of an inappropriate relationship with an agent? Yeah. That worked out.

Bassilio is as credible as a first time poster on VN. He spews out random hypothesis and hopefully one sticks. If it does, he will claim to be a prophet.

I just saw on TOS where Luginbill from ESPN said there is no way Gruden is coming to Tennessee. He would instead go to Detroit, Chicago, etc.

I'm a Grudenite and hope he comes, but it did worry me a bit. Luginbill does work for the same company.

I'm sure he thought there was no way we ended up with CP either...

Basilio has been right countless times but for some reason is the whipping boy because he will engage in speculation at times and when it doesn't happen people say well Basilio said this WOULD happen....

That's the key. We got wind of this early so it seems like its dragging on. They would.have preferred to this quiet for as long as possible. Everything we know is going on are normal proceedings we shouldn't be aware of yet.

The fact this has ONLY been going on for a week+ highlights this point. The realist in me knows you don't complete what is one of the highest paid contracts in that time frame. We as fans want what my 6 and 9 yr old kids want, instant gratification. The fact is, there are a lot of nuts and bolts to this thing and physically cannot be done as quickly as most want it to be done, not to mention the fact that Gruden can't accept a job that isn't open b/c the coach we have hasn't been fired yet.
