50/8 feels rather outrageous, but it's also the kind of figure that could keep him from leaving to return to the NFL.

While I am at it let me set something else straight. I made a statement earlier that "I have a family member on the team" and Spartacus Vol called me out. I told Jay how this came about, and want to come clean that it is not a true "family relation" as much as an ongoing joke form the summer. I will not say how, but I spent a lot of time the last 2 summers with some of the players and with one of them it became a long running joke that he is my "cousin". In reality my aunt and his aunt were college roommates. Doesn't make anything I said untrue, but that relationship was a little exaggerated and for that I apologize.

Jay can vouch for me as a whole, as I have shared the complete picture with him of my connections and how it came about. Its a "work thing" for me and I have to be very careful. I just do not want this to haunt me, and Spartacus Vol seems to know what he is talking about. I value VN and the people I talk to on here and do not want one misstep that CONSTANTLY gets called out and referred to by SpartacusVol to affect that.

I completly understand. Hey man the info from you, Jay,DTO and others has kept all of us afloat, and I can see this happening just as you guys have stated. Keep up the good work. :good!:

Well, it's double from a total money standpoint...not the length. A contract like that will greatly increase the pressure and scrutiny on him, but I guess that's what you sign up for. The only bright side is that no one will be calling for his head after three years...regardless of record.

Dude. Things change sometimes. Get over it. Many have said Shannon was the man but Dooley ****ed it up. Is that a crazy thought, Dooley ****ing something up? So ask yourself again and enjoy this, even it is not true. The one thing I can see is, at least this AD gets it. Be happy about that.

This guy just called the sports animal I think he's name was Harlin and said if they fire Dooley it would set the program back another 3 to 5 years no matter who they hire. That's just crazy IMO. He also said in a around about way the only fans voices that should matter are the ones that buy season tickets every year.

Vol fans living out of state don't matter? Ouch.

Guess I'll be sure to make a 12 hour drive there and a 12 hour drive back 8 times a season so I matter.

that is one of the worst sports cliches out there. The whole "set us back so and so years" Bull! Great coaches show imporvement immediately! The problem was it was a 990 caller

After Sal was hired, in regards to Shannon, CDD said "I don't even know where that came from." When asked about him trying to bolt for UNC CDD said "I don't even know where that came from." Maybe that's his rebuttal to cover lies cause I believe Shannon was almost done and I believe CDD tried to get the UNC job. And I was a huge CDD supporter so I have no reason to trash him.

Still don't believe it was as close as you all say from everything I've gathered. Believe it was blown up to be more than it was.

I hope you all are right about the Gruden stuff.

Yes, OCI is just passing along info. And I like OCI's stuff and info. But he broke it all, and if the info turns out to be otherwise it will hurt his rep, no way it can't.

This is accurate. I have found the guy to be legit in his info. I will not discuss how he gets info because it's bigger than e-cred, or whatever stupid name you want to call it. He has trusted me with info. I have found it to be true. I will not betray that trust.

He's admitted an exaggeration. He's owned it. Takes a man to do that. Move on.
