Whatever we do we need to get ahead of Texas in the hunt for a new coach. For that matter Auburn and Arkansas too.

I mean no disrespect to him at all. He is still one of the best around. Just things change. I still think he gets close to the truth on a lot of things. He just doesn't get his info as quickly as he use to. And as far as the coach and the price go , I believe that is pure speculation. We will find out if he was right soon enough.

There is no place for that type stuff. It's the epitome of low class. People are people regardless of race. I am pretty astounded by the remark.

Can somebody fill me in here? The Gruden thing has always kind of been like a "if I won the lottery" fun type of pipe dream. Now there are people who obviously believe this is reality and are taking the Gruden thing seriously So what has these people fired up?

I thought for a moment I may have bumped the flux time capacitor back 50 years. It's always sickening for me to hear that opinions like this still exist.

Give me a break jv. Dude is white. Said his cousin is a starter. Chances are pretty high his cousin would be white as well. There are two white starters.
Don't pull some dramatic race bs on me because I bring up a Spike Lee joint. I'm from south Memphis, have black family members and don't need race lessons from you.
Sorry you took that the wrong way. That's not how it is though.

Thought I would jump into the fray again. I've been busy this week so I have not had the time to keep up. What "factual" information exists that Gruden is coming to UT? I am not looking for an argument, I am trying to take an objective view.

About all I have gathered so far:

1. Gruden was a grad student at UT so he might have some desire to return.

2. Mrs. Gruden was a UT cheerleader and her family is from Newport, I think?

3. Gruden either owns or has owned property near Sevierville.

4. Gruden probably wants to get back to coaching in the future.

5. Gruden is a charismatic, energetic coach and will in all likelihood succeed when and where he takes a coaching position.

I know everyone is doing there best to convince themselves and everyone else that he is packing his bags for Knoxville but is there any evidence that this may happen other than unsubstantiated rumor? Has Gruden made any comment in the recent past, positive or negative, regarding the UT program?
