Hart would be putting himself in a bad postion. He would be firing a coach who finally has the team on the upswing along with the uptick in recruiting that would come along with it.
Even if he was able to land Gruden, if the team too any kind of backslide Hart would have to be shown the door.

You really think that would be the case? If Gruden is willing to come here, Dooley has no shot at returning and nobody else will get consideration for the job.Based on dooley's track record any uptick would only be a temporary flash. Regardless of what his record turns out to be, I would not want to be in Hart's shoes if he had a chance and turned down Gruden. Same goes if he were to chose his bama buddy smart over Gruden.
