Just for the sake of discussion, what would you say if Tennessee wins the next two games and then wins out?
You have to keep him and give him an extension. if you don't it would make it even harder to find a replacement if it came to that.
My issue is with the timing that is floating around here from the "people with sources".
If Hart is set on getting rid of him he should do it after the Bama game (if lost) and don't take the chance of a late season surge.
I find it hard to believe with a win over USCjr and a 9-4 record, he would be terminated.
My vote is DD wins out including Bama and Gruden stays on TV.
No chance he wins the next two and wins out. He got beat by 10 points to a pedestrian MSU team and lost by 17 to UF at home in what was the best gameday atmosphere in years. We now know UGA was grossly overrated. I am waiting for the marker to change again. The Dooley expectations are a moving target. It was 9-3 (has to beat one of the four annual rivals), then went to 8-4 (those are top ten teams), to 7-5 (it shows improvement) and next will be 6-6 ( we need to keep him for stability and to hold on to a top 30 recruiting class). He has to be held accountable for the results on the field in the games that matter.
Either way I will be cheering for TN on Sat and for the rest of the season.
Just like I will if Chucky ever dons the Orange.
if....If.....IF we beat Bama this year, Dooley will be in K'ville for a very long time. Every stat on the books says we get whipped. Funny thing is, who's side will the Grudenites be on Saturday? The Vols or for Gruden. Knowing of course a win Saturday brings down the entire house of cards.
That is good. I am glad you got some rest....and your killing me!!
