Just for the sake of discussion, what would you say if Tennessee wins the next two games and then wins out?

You have to keep him and give him an extension. if you don't it would make it even harder to find a replacement if it came to that.

My issue is with the timing that is floating around here from the "people with sources".

If Hart is set on getting rid of him he should do it after the Bama game (if lost) and don't take the chance of a late season surge.

Could happen that way....we'll see.

I find it hard to believe with a win over USCjr and a 9-4 record, he would be terminated.

The fact that we are going into another year with no hope of beating Bama (even by Dooley's staunchest supporters) is enough to want the change. We did not have a great team in '09 but we had hope against our rivals and went .500 against the four we play every year. That has been replaced by dread, despair and hoping for 7-5 season. Bring on Chucky.

if....If.....IF we beat Bama this year, Dooley will be in K'ville for a very long time. Every stat on the books says we get whipped. Funny thing is, who's side will the Grudenites be on Saturday? The Vols or for Gruden. Knowing of course a win Saturday brings down the entire house of cards.

My vote is DD wins out including Bama and Gruden stays on TV.

No chance he wins the next two and wins out. He got beat by 10 points to a pedestrian MSU team and lost by 17 to UF at home in what was the best gameday atmosphere in years. We now know UGA was grossly overrated. I am waiting for the marker to change again. The Dooley expectations are a moving target. It was 9-3 (has to beat one of the four annual rivals), then went to 8-4 (those are top ten teams), to 7-5 (it shows improvement) and next will be 6-6 ( we need to keep him for stability and to hold on to a top 30 recruiting class). He has to be held accountable for the results on the field in the games that matter.

Either way I will be cheering for TN on Sat and for the rest of the season.

Just like I will if Chucky ever dons the Orange.

You and me both brother!

Nothing else to do, the hard decision is already made.

I agree with this, my preseason expectations were 8-4 regular season due to the loss of DR and the defense change. Anything less would be justifiable termination.

We all will. We just think UT deserves a better head coach. We want the best of everything for UT. Dooley, though well intentioned is not getting it done. Hope is all that is left and it has one foot out the door.

I'll be cheering for the young men in Orange. Hoping for a close game, a safe game and well played. Anything else is just pure fantasy.....IMO
