Now that Erin Andrews is being discussed repeatedly, commonly referred to as EA, we probably need to distinguish EA (Ainge) from (EA) Erin Andrews. Thanks

Speaking to job posting..............it got buried so i wanted to repost.

Again, I am a glutton for punishment. After another LONG discussion with the wife coasty is 100% correct from a FEDERAL perspective. Up until two years ago we were under the Guier (unsure of spelling) laws which meant you HAD to post a job. That changed two years ago. That said, many institutions still have policies to post jobs, but UT would not HAVE to post the job per federal statutes.

Just an FYI - the chancellor job at UT was not posted from my understanding, so why would they have to post a job for the UT head coach? People like Gruden and others are above "applying" for this type of a position. It doesn't even make sense that it would have to be posted.

Thanks steve and Gman for the encouraging words in regards to my family and their feelings toward Gruden..I'm sure they will come around when they realize how successful he's gonna be at UT..I guess I just had a lesson in what a true Grudenite is and if you're not one, then you don't understand the excitement of having a SB-winning coach at the helm..Period.

He seems to be privy like a stalker to several private conversations. Erin Andrews talk is crazy. Why not mention this before she went on air about the possibility. Just sounds like expanding a story an a lot of crap. I want gruden badly but this smells funny

I heard some people on radio discussing Dooley possibly getting the Kennesaw St. job. (Not that we care, but FWIW)

Ainge has known and was all over it till he was told to put a sock in it. For 2 weeks he threw names out and deflected the Gruden "rumor". Once DD was fired the sock came back out and it is Gruden

The job has been open longer now than it was last time, with time to prepare. I'm sure those details have been worked out.

Remember that this is not the HAMILTON admin, which means no natl search committees and less obvious moves.

If you had read eveything up to this point, you would understand but it would require going back several pages and I understand why nobody would want to do that. So, you need to just have faith that many of us have been here for a while now and know the context of his statements.

That's NOT what he said.

And take a lot of what insiders say with some ingenious business thought...a lot of what is bein said has some prophylactic character to it...so sources aren't revealed. And that is difficult when people are TRYING TO SHARE INFO without ruining their contact stability!!

Let if go. Boro brings good food for thought. Y'all are fixin to run him off, I you're not careful. He's been defending himself for several weeks now without real reason...other than y'all's speculation on who's telling the truth and who's not.

Boro...I know you're a big boy and you can take of yourself...but I'm just speaking out of concern for overall stability here. My apologies

I think everyone has a right to their opinion and if they think Gruden isn't coming that's fine. But the ones that say the originals in here have no clue what they're saying, they don't know anything and 100% without a doubt no way on earth Gruden would even consider UT, those are the ones that really grind my gears. I don't know Boro personally and I'm sure coming in here gloating isn't his style but there are a few in here he should make an exception for! Imo jmo
