Everybody needs to calm down. Some truth and non truths in things here. I get loads of good news and equal amounts of bad news. I am going with those I know and trust. No matter what happens we have to get behind the next coach all the way. I have no direct control over anything else. Agents are brutal but what makes people think Jon may not have clauses in his agent contracts for certain jobs. Cindy may end up being the ace for TN. This thread is about to go full meltdown so I am bailing out for a few days. You guys enjoy. For the record Jon will be our coach and if it blows up then I will just have to dal with it.

Those "requirements" you posted were completely insane and contrary to what other reliable sources have said.

If they are true (which I don't believe they are close to reality), then Gruden has no real interest in returning to coaching. But we know that is not the case.

This is true, Not even the most desperate owner is going to deal on these terms and Gruden's coaching career is essentially over.

I would ask as my wish today on this day, my birthday, could we please get Jon Gruden as the coach of my favorite Tennessee Volunteers. Loved that Youtube video posted about him as the next football coach at UT, hopefully we can make this dream and wish a reality, pretty pretty please. (I'll even request with a cherry on top.)

I think Stoops is the clear No. 2 after Gruden. I wouldn't expect that Mora, Jr. would Kiffin UCLA. Also think Stoops would have legitimate interest in UT and leaving the Big 12.

For all of the people who "have a friend in Knoxville" let me just set the record straight. I live in knoxville, have for most of my life (outside of a few years down in gator country) and let me tell you, people in Knoxville are just as clueless as people in Nashville, Memphis, or California.. 99.999% of Knoxvillians know nothing. Not saying your friends don't have good info, only that simply living in Knoxville does not qualify somebody as having more legitimate info than the next guy.
