The sports monster here in the Tri-cities just had a guy on who is the producer of an affiliate radio station in Arkansas. He said he has been told the offer has been made and Arkansas is willing to make Gruden the highest paid coach in the SEC. He said he hasn't heard anything official from the University however.

If this is true, we will find out real quick if UT can afford to pay the big bucks to a guy like Gruden.

I can't believe people taking the Arky offer serious, those guys are clueless. Some stated they hired him back in April, every deadline they post passes with a new deadline that follows.

Gruden is not going to Arky

If its true about Grudens timing and him wanting us to wait, then he will shoot Arkansas offer/rumor down soon.

It is Nuts that Arky waits till this late to offer Gruden... they have had an opening for a year... I think it is a last ditch effort becaus they are fearing what we are going to do

Is this ava better?

He may not be going to Arky, but there is an offer on the table that would make him the highest paid coach in the SEC. I am still full Grude, but having to wade through things like this was going to be a given from day one.

I think he will just let it ride out until his anouncement to come to UT. He has not dispelled any other rumors I would not expect this one to be either IMO.

Said this last night Coasty. Why formally offer AFTER UT fires DD?????? They have had an opening since April.

Wait Arky made CJG a offer?? According to Arky fanbase this deal has been done, contract's signed, and home's bought since last spring...something is not adding up hahaha.

IF a formal offer was made from Arkansas yesterday as reports say, then IMO he is at the least listening. More importantly it tells me he hasn't accepted a deal here. If he was a done deal here his agent wouldn't currently have any conversations with Arkansas or anybody else IMO.
