As a Falcons fan, I will never support Petrino. Who leaves in the middle of the night and informs the players with notes on their lockers? Ok, he thought Vick was going to be his QB, but still, adversity happens and this guy does NOT know how to deal with it. He pretty much screwed Louisville to come to ATL. If we hire Petrino, I will become a full time Dawg fan...at least Richt is a class act, and at least its not BAMA.

2 and 3 aren't possible IMO. I had bobby p ahead of strong as well but fan support flip flopped them for me since they are so close in other areas.

I wouldn't think 2 is, but i think the right amount of $$$ could get 3.

5. Fulmer get the program stable again fill the seats unite the fans bring us together get the pride going. He has stated he would help in anyway he could for the University after its stable then Shoot for the Stars.

1-4 spot on. Number 5 would divide this fanbase even more than it already is! No disrespect to Phil but his time has passed.

I'm not saying throw another 5 year multi million dollar contract at him I'm saying he would help get us out of the mess we are in and better coaching than dooley and let UT find the right coach for the job Seriously I think Fulmer just wants whats best for UT JMO though. I hate to see us rush if we can't get Gruden and get another hire for par or someone like Petrino that would in no doubt in my mind nnot only Give UT a even worse name but bring the NCAA down on us with in 2 years

Very familiar with him, he left the Falcons because he knew that he was in over his head, as for the Louisville fiasco with Auburn, Louisville is and will always be a stepping stone for coaches looking for bigger and better , so yes I believe I am familiar .

What does the fact they were adults have anything to do with it? He still lied, cheated on his wife and family, and tried to cover it up, and did so with a previous co-ed and employee. Not good stuff. Not counting all the other character issues he had before that happened.

Probably had his secretary do it for him, I heard he keeps a pretty close relationship with his female assistants. Im sure she was given a raise/promotion soon thereafter.

If it were just an affair, it would be between him and his family.
But, he hired the mistress, paid her a large sum on the side, concealed the relationship from his employer, and lied about everything until he had no choice. He did all of this at a public, state-run university.

Don't see him wanting to be interim. If he is, he'll work his way in again like he did with Majors.
