As stated by many before.... contracts are made to be broken... having a contract does not ensure him being here.

Many of the assistants have their own contact and buyouts.

Being asked by the new coach to stay on the new staff, apart from Dooley staying is the only two 100% here

Graham is the only coach that is worth keeping when Gruden comes in...Well maybe Pittman as well b/c he's done a good job with the OL.

Definitely Pittman! Our OL is so much better this year. Run game is much better and Tyler hardly gets touched. Hope the ones eligible for the draft comes back next season!

This whole thread is about WHO you want to believe. I choose to believe we get Gruden. If by chance that doesn't happen, I will be more disappointed than when we lost to UF. I knew if we beat UF, then we were much improved, and we were back. Just like if we get Gruden, we'll be back.

With the agenda set, I think the results of this BOT meeting are already largely settled. I can't imagine they haven't taken the pulse of those involved to see how they would vote without knowing. In other words, the last item on their agenda (and the biggest hurdle for UT athletics) has probably already been cleared and it's just a matter of procedure. At least that's how it usually works for the boards I sit on and have been president of. (both currently and in the past)

The only concern I have is that there are some that mention certain people on the BOT not caring in the least for athletics. I guess we will know soon enough, but I have to think this stumbling block is ready to be changed for the positive.

I heard this the other day about a former basketball player said he knew Buzz was a horrible coach when he looked around in practice and saw guys that had been stars in high school and thought to himself..."we can't all be flops"...how many 4 stars to do have starting on D? 8?

That would be awesome!

Hopefully when Gruden is hired, that will motivate them to stay and improve..Plus their draft stock would move up b/c the only one that might be NFL ready is CP..And even he could use another year to learn route running a little better but he's one helluva an athlete though.:yes:

In 99% of these meetings all votes needed to accomplish what is wanted is settled long before the meeting begins

Big Jay Graham fan and hope he's back but its not up to him. New coach may bring in an entirely new staff.

Perhaps New Coach is already in place and has told Jay Graham his job is safe. Perhaps.

I am not disputing or doubting what anyone says. Also, I have not given up. Just let me play devil's advocate before some FF troll comes over here and does it first.

Jay Graham could also be 100% sure he will be back next season because he is 100% sure Dooley will be back.
