So, let me get this straight. Landscape is calling the folks with "sources" liars because of what his own "source" told him. . .

As stated numerous times in these Gruden threads, you don't hear Gruden nor UTAD denying things just smoke and mirrors and the lack of money to do this is very funny. The donors can pull this off and not miss a dime of it.

So hubbs blabbers on saying gruden is interested and for the right amount he will come ...and lws solid poster on hubbs dang website says its a no go WTH?

Evidently Gruden has been spotted several times this morning in Atlanta airport. Any volnation members in ATL airport? If so go find him!

So you're dumb if you believe Boro, DTO, Jay and others that say Gruden is coming but its ok to believe Larry saying its a 5% chance? I know Larry is a solid poster but at the end of the day all these guys are passing along info they are getting from people connected to the program in some way. Until news comes directly from Hart or Grudens mouth, whether good or bad, people just need to wait and let it play out.

I never said they were liars. I never attacked anybody. I believe they are getting it from reliable sources on certain issues but this isn't one of those issues. Former players aren't reliable sources on potential coaching moves. The reason the AD and Gruden haven't said anything is the same reason Randy Shannon isn't the defensive coordinator because they were internet rumors, not reality. Coaches and AD's don't comment on fantasies.

Here's one thing I will throw out there. I went back and looked up several articles in the past years where Gruden was rumored to be "in talks" to take over a college or NFL HCP. Most rumors were started from blogging, message boards, etc. (sound familiar) Although I couldn't find the specific timeline...every time the rumors exploded...either the mentioned school, NFL team, or Gruden promptly issued a denial. This has been going on for a while now...no denial or hint of it...not sure what it means...may not mean shizz, but throwing it out there.

I don't like this because it could potentially square with what the "insiders" in this thread have been stating. They state that a MOU has been agreed upon and is in Gruden's lap. I have not seen where any of them claims that he has signed it. The longer he takes to sign it, the more likely he is to lack interest in my opinion.

LWS is lowering his expectations because of lack of interest from Gruden. Maybe those involved in the negotiations are starting to notice that Gruden's interest is waning and it hasn't filter down through the ranks yet?

This would also square with Gruden's actions over the past several years. He has left at least a few suitors at the altar.

I hope LWS is wrong, but this is disheartening. Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.
