Not being adversarial just don't believe he has been told anything.

Bu if you do believe he has been told you must also believe he is being extremely professional by keeping that quite for some reason. He deserves respect for doing just that. His buyout doesn't require that professionalism so that excuse holds zero water.
The tone of what you said was indeed adversarial. There is no other way to describe it.

The $5 million is plenty of reason to keep his mouth shut if the rumors about him putting feelers out last year are true. That would effect his buyout. He was told he could go out on his terms.....that may mean a resignation with public support from the AD. That can help him land his next job.

There are many more reasons for him to play ball than not.

Question. If Dooley is the interim coach, as you say, why is he being allowed to continue to recruit and offer scholarships?

If Dooley is out, isn't it more beneficial to just keep up appearances until things are officially announced. Besides, what happens to all those offers if/when a new staff comes aboard.

I do wonder if the Sunseri hire was Hart's and not Dooley's.
There's a lot more to that back story than meets the eye, I believe.

That's BS. If he has been fired privately as you say he deserves a hell of a lot of respect for being so professional by answering question after question about his future without spilling the beans. The easier explanation is he hasn't been told anything.

His attitude on the sideline says it all. He is gone snd has known since Miss St. Not hard to figure that out, zero passion at all on the sidelines anymore.

All I meant by that statement is that he knows, has known, and that they were happy to let him coach the year out. Its cleaner than appointing an interim and publicly disclosing a search.

I am a proud Grutard!

I give this post a thumbs up

Agreed..I commented to my hubby during one of the games(don't remember which one) that Dooley is acting like he doesn't give a damn..He agreed and it's good to know that others have noticed that as well...At least I know i"m not going crazy or imagining things.
But he slammed the crutch!
This man cares!
/end sarcasm

I agree with this. If he is offering 1-2 star kids the next coach will not want to honor those offers which will be bad press for UT.

He doesn't have to keep quite to get his buyout. You know that. It isn't his job or in his contract to keep his firing quite. That's absurd.

His last post after patti posted said something about too much drama and he would see us maybe in a few days. I hope he comes on back. I love that goat!

I gained more respect after he apologized for being rude to me..He told me I had done nothing to cause that..A man that admits that he was wrong is a real man.:twocents:

nothing has changed as far as Hart/Dooley since the pre Gruden threads. 50k posts of wasted time and energy.
2013 was always the year, barring a loss down the stretch. Sal was Hart's call, not Dooleys. That's why Hart has his back. If it was Kevin Steele having the worst D in college football, Dooley and crew would be gone. If Sal wasn't Hart's call, Dooley would be gone.

It also allows him to go out under his own terms... saves face

Fulmers staff did it too as do all coach's. You still have to do your job and im sure he wants to coach again somewhere else.

Maybe after the MSU game, he finally started taking the pain meds on the sidelines.
