The ONLY unacceptable happening is Dooley being on the sidelines in 2013. Hardly a coach has been mentioned I wouldn't be thrilled to have over Dooley. I would take Patterson, Strong, Petrino, Tubberville....about anyone but Dooley.

Agreed. There is a long list of coaches I would be fine with over Dooly. The guys you mentioned, then Sarkisian, Cutcliffe, Fedora, Mora Jr, Jeremy Bates, to add a few more to the list. Certainly not at the top of my list but I am serious when I say there is hardly any scenario in which DD is replaced that would make me unhappy. They'd have to try extra hard to make me unhappy with a new hire.

I never exaggerated. Only ever said that an agreement had been reached. I still feel that an agreement had been reached. Nothing formal and only through booster conversations.

But as time passed things changed.

Things will likely change again.

Just my opinion based on posters going from certain to maybe but I would bet a large amount of money John gruden isn't our coach next year.

No, let's hope beyond all hope that the necessary changes get made between now and Friday. It might be too late to get Gruden, but it sure as Hades needs to happen so it won't be a deterrant any long in our coaching search.

I think my priorities have changed. Gruden is now #2. If the AD mess isn't changed, our ability to find ANY coach and have them compete/succeed with the rest of the SEC will never happen.

I am holding out for Gruden.... SBV did not say he had said No he was not coming, but he had cooled because of control issues which would be discussed at the BOT meeting...

We all knew this..... changes Nothing, just confirms what Boro and others said earlier imo
