Transcription of reports and xray interpretations on US patients are often done overnight in India (daytime there) and are waiting on US desks at 8 am the next day, courtesy of digital imaging and the internet.

Don't think they've figured how to do paramedic work remotely yet. :)

That makes a lot of sense. Squatchiest place on earth they just said. Let's go there and see for ourselves. Can't forget our beef jerky though.

The people I work with are totally convinced I am insane. We are all sitting in this small office space quietly when suddenly I start giggling like a slack jawed idiot.

Oh yeah, I don't think they can do that. And what I do now is in real time, so I don't think there's any way to outsource it, but I'm certainly one of the most experienced people in my field, at least at this hospital, because I was so incredibly overqualified for the job. My entire civilian career has revolved around Cardiology, and I've done pretty much everything you can imagine without having to have MD after my name. I've really made myself too valuable to lose, which could backfire, but I don't plan on sitting here as a career either, just a segue.
