Here is the copy i have sent everyone thus far. The info presented was put together by me using info I collected and pieced together. I then sent these copies out to confirm the story as I have put it together, and have received enough confirmations to feel comfortable posting it. I claim no personal ties to inside sources. You may choose to believe what I present, you may choose not, but this is the story pieced together. Anyone willing to confirm may choose to do so. I will answer any questions as phone battery allows. Go Vols!

Here is the story as I've seen it put together. After MSU game, Boosters (not Hart) contacted Gruden about the job and served as intermediaries between UT and Gruden. Cheek, at that point, is not in the know (does not need to release money.) After numbers were agreed upon and contracts were placed in University hands, things got political. Gruden issued queries on specific control over the program, and cooled until specific items were met, specifically control over the football program. Enter BOT meeting. The BOT meeting changed who Hart reports to, a VP with AD experience (assistant AD). Politically, this allows Hart more freedom from Cheek and puts an athletically minded individual in control of AD money. Hence, control clamps taken off program for Gruden, securing deal, and putting pressure on Cheek to learn more on Athletics and meet other more minor demands for job security. Now that deal is being sealed, smokescreens are being put out by both University and Gruden (media monitoring Grudens calls for assistants, now to produce an NFL-looking route, radio hosts going silent and denying Gruden emphatically on University side) to avoid PR nightmare and allow Gruden to finish MNF. With bowl in play, Dooley is allowed to play for a bowl, but will be released upon another loss or end of season, where more smokescreens with fake coaching candidate "leaks" will be used until it is time to announce. Spot on so far? I also have more on Gruden 6, pages 180-192. Look through post history.

Talked to ainge again waiting to hit a shot. He said most likely Cutcliffe with Chavis as defensive coordinator. Steele as Recruiting Coordinator.

Someone needs to tell Ainge to duck or at least cover his head, when someone yells fore. Those golf balls shots to the noggin take their toll.

104.5 was reading something from Volquest saying Dooley just met (today) with the team and the players are not talking to media about exaclty was he said.... does anyone know about this?

I have read several accounts that say the amendments approved by the BOT did not change Hart's reporting status and dealt only with the heirarchy for funding raising? Did you review the minutes of the BOT?

Anyone...hello is this mic on?

This thread has me feeling all 15 year old girlish... OMG Guys!

Easy big fella. I went my first 20+ years as a Vol fan with no coaching searches (only the Fulmer/Majors takedown). What makes me feel 15 years old and girlish is winning big. And, when you are winning big, you don't have to search for the next "big name."

Especially now, and two disastrous searches later. I can tell you not to invest too much emotionally in the names being thrown around. It is the guy at the microphone at the end of the day that matters. We don't have a very good recent track record but I hope we get it right this time.

Cause it says soon.

It seems Ainge is trying to over sell the whole "Gruden ain't coming", kind of like bad acting and to further show he is over selling it he keeps mentioning Cutcliffe and Chavis. Ainge is smart enough and knows too much to really think Hart would even imagine a scenario where Cut or Chavis would be brought back.
