I don't know lol.

We have this chain that makes burritos in front of you like Subway does with their sandwiches and you can tell them what you want as they make it. So it's better than fastfood but as quick as fast food. I usually get that for quick mexican. It is like 8 bucks for a burrito but it's wrapped in foil so you can just peel it back and eat it on the go. It's good stuff.

Agreed. He has done some really good things for UT but some of his decisions lately and some of the offers he is throwing out right now makes no sense at all. I wonder if we were 7-2 or 8-1 and his job was secure if some of those offers would really have happened. Probably not.

I would love Gruden, but a proven winner would improve us. I think that we will see just how bad our coaching is when we change regimes. But if we got Gruden I would be forced to serve someone with some dance moves!!!:D

I don't see the angst being directed at LWS rather at the posters that flaunted LWS as contrary to this thread and its information.

SO I think its more of a validation that the OG's were in line with what was happening from the start

has anything been made of SBVs comment that he now thinks Dooley has a chance of being retained? i can only assume that happens if we cant get a big name, is the reasoning behind that.

The EA Show today seems to be talking up Gary Patterson today. Also he was talking about maybe getting the old band back together with CUT as head coach, and "3rd and Chavis" as DC.

He also still saying Gruden is not coming.

Big names to me would along the lines of Stoops or someone of his name recognition. I don't have a hard fast list but rather just heard there might some biggies coming out on a list but not sure who's on it. Just want the feeling when it does come out that I go, "Hhhmmm, hell ya Vols."

I agree with you. No way he should be allowed to offer more scholly's right now. That's why they really need to make it public unless they have something worked out with Dooley that he will "resign" at the end of the season but still gets his money.

Dooley has a shot at being retained IMO but it will be very difficult for him to win out.

Hart can't really do that, he really can't control what Dooley does any longer since Dooley knows he is out the door (if that comes to be true). What is Hart going to do if Dooley goes against his wishes? Double fire him?

Stoops would be ok with me simply because he's a defensive guy. Our offense has a ton of young talent. Our defense needs an overhaul in the worst way!! That said, I'll still be chubbin for Gruden till its 100% he isn't coming here.

Great analogy on Stoops - I am sure he would do well - just not sure he is that next level kind of coach.

Who else would be on that list?

We were being killed in recruiting before the season went downhill. Of course there is negative recruiting, it happens everywhere. When Richt went 5-7 he hauled in a top 5 class. He sold it right. Offering this kid at this point in time makes zero sense. You could get that kid 2 days before signing period if you wanted to. That's why I think there is more to it.

Fair enough, I think there is some truth in that.

I think the point people are missing is key:
UT is finally ready to throw big money at the right person to fix this mess. They're exactly where Alabama was after Shula. This is a significant development given the recent state of things. I don't care who was 'right' or 'first' but there is significant evidence (not just insiders) to support this.

Now, I do have issue with the info Gruden has agreed and whether Dooley has officially been fired, but I don't want that to take away from the above.

Has his demeanor changed? Yes. Does that mean that he has been informed that he has been fired and is offering 2 stars to spite the program? Hell no, and that is an absurd accusation to make about anybody. Wouldn't your demeanor change as well if you had the worst defense in Tennessee history, would have only 1 or 2 losses with a decent defense, realize that the deck is now stacked against you due to losing to mississippi state, have to listen to mounting fan disapproval, and recruiting is coming damn near impossible due to all the negative recruiting. I know my demeanor sure would take a turn south. Also, lets say your absurd accusation was true, do you really think Hart would not step in?

Please not Cut as our HC. Doubt that happens, Ainge really loves Cut so he's probably just throwing that out. Patterson would be a good hire but definitely not my top 3-4 choices. But not a bad option at all.
