I agree with many others that the meeting coming up is the big news to come in short term. JG along with any other "big name" hires that would potentially be interested in UT, will want some clarity and comfort with who will be in high positions and that they will work with them to get UT football where it needs to be. I'll def be checking thread early Sat. to see if that last item on the agenda list was addressed and what some of the reliable posters have to say about it.

The adminstration opens itself up to speculation that Dooley is tanking our recruiting on purpose or the one I heard yesterday that Hart doesn't want to pi$$ off his old pal Saban so he is trying to hold onto Dooley. Do I believe these things to be true? NO, but when you have horrible football and tens of thousands of empty seats that is what happens when no official word comes out one way or the other.

Wouldn't your demeanor change as well if you had the worst defense in Tennessee history, would have only 1 or 2 losses with a decent defense, realize that the deck is now stacked against you due to losing to mississippi state, have to listen to mounting fan disapproval, and recruiting is coming damn near impossible due to all the negative recruiting. I know my demeanor sure would take a turn south. Also, lets say your absurd accusation was true, do you really think Hart would not step in?

Dooley is a high energy and very animated coach on the sidelines. Losing and having a terrible defense wont change that. That's not something you just can shut off unless something luke a firing happens. It doesnt matter what happens in the game your losing your job regardless.As far as recruiting I would hope like hell Hart would step in and maybe he has now after that kid committed. Hart doesnt know everyone Dooley offers up to the minute. After that recruit committed Hart could have stepped in. We will see if any others like that try to committ. But there is no reason to get on here and insult posters if their beliefs dont line up with yours. Im sure your a sweetheart and precious but your better than that. If you dont agree with something you can express your opinion in a way that you dont sound like a Douche.

This may be old news, but I saw a link on Basilio's blog to a newspaper that interviewed AJ Turman. Turman said Dooley's situation worried him a little but, he wasn't extremely worried because Jay Graham told him he was going to stay. Sounds like Dooley is already out of the door.

Wrong again, before the season we had recruits waiting to see how things would turn out here, and now they are just completely disinterested. As for Richt, he was a proven coach at the time in a state that is full of players that would go to Georgia no matter who the coach is. Also, when it comes to offers coaches move down the board as others in front of them decline interest. It is pretty obvious that this guy is now high enough on the board that he is a take. Then you throw in the fact that he thought georgia and Auburn were close to offering (meaning getting in early could mean alot) and the fact that staff thinks he has the frame to put on weight and become a 3-4 nose tackle (which are normally rated lower) then the offer is not all that surprising. Also, Dooley has offered 2 stars his entire tim here so are you trying to say that he has been sabotaging the next coach from day 1?
