If it's not, it isn't intentional.

I will make this a general statement to all:

Everything I have said, I have very good reason to believe it's true. I give you my word as a man of honor. If I am wrong (which I don't think I am), I will be here to take the heat. I've said that since Gruden I. My stance hasn't changed in over 70k posts. I invite you to look for yourself or inquire with any OG. I believe in my word meaning something.

I texted one person, a friend in Memphis, when SBV called it a while back. Tuesday just happened to be that guy's birthday. I'll have to text him again in the morning.

I am no insider, not claiming to be, nor bringing any new information.

Just going to tell my side of what I have heard.

I was pretty tore up a couple weeks ago when all this news started to reach the light. Today talking with a good friend that is also an alum told me that a couple weeks ago, it was a strong possibility because everything that was being portrayed as just rumors were actual truth. He said as of today he doesn't know the likelihood anymore because Gruden has went close-lipped. He didn't rule out the possibility, just said that it was probably more along the lines of Gruden keeping it a secret, which would line up with what all I have read, telling his people to keep it quiet until near the end of MNF. Now yes it is simple to say I am misinformed or an idiot, but said friend also lived with a guy in the athletic department. Dave Hart being quiet about it did not mean it was not true. I do know for a fact they have also talked to other coaches since, but know no names. So I would not rule it out. I just hate the anticipation. Gruden does in fact care very much about coming here. Let's just hope nothing falls through.

I have been given pretty much the same info as you in the same time frame. I heard tonight things may begin to speed up soon

that's tough stuff, not sure how she does it but she does a good work. My sister started out in that area of nursing but it was just too much for her to handle. Hoping we can have a good night here and hold out at least a couple more weeks and avoid NICU but my wife is in tons of pain. Sleeping now(hence me being on VN). We will know in a few hours if she can go home or if baby is coming early then NICU. Thanks for the prayers, I am sure all will be well.

May be able to negotiate a name change if Gruden is confirmed. I had talked her into Neyland but we could maybe switch to Gruden. haha.

Over on Grudenville, Duckman's site, they've been expecting to hear that they'll be getting Gruden either Tuesday or Wednesday of this week. If Jay and Co. are on target, that is some very eerie timing right there.

I also know for positive 100% that my friend is no where near the message boards so I didn't want people to assume it was him reading threads and blowing smoke up my pants.

Dooley does in fact know he is fired. It is the commonly played room of smoke and mirrors. Or sleight of hand. While you are looking here...something going on in the other hand. I hope very much that it is Gruden. I can't base anymore percentages of hope because I am trying to be prepared for the worst. I read in the cliff notes just a moment ago that people were saying they had heard it was a done deal, which I will say I hope is true. Either all the hush hush does mean it is done and just waiting for the right time, or he is a no-no. Even if it was Gruden and it was a done deal, if it was meant to stay close-lipped until closer to the end of MNF, I would not expect media outlets (Ainge, basically anyone else saying 0% Gruden, to report that he is our guy right now) FWIW

I knew he was a troll, but I did not know he's been here under the Oregon banner. I take this was circa 2010.

Well there was a duckman. Can't be too many of them around. Especially that just happen to stumble on volnation. I don't know of any Volmans here and this is a Vol website.

What's stunning about Grudenville is that you'd think Duckman's followers would take a hint from Hogville's decision to lock or delete all Gruden threads.

I'm all for stepping away from a bad season to chase a dream with others, because that's what we've been doing here. But, dreams must at some point be rooted in reality, or else they are merely wishes.

Hmmm, that actually sounded a little profound.

Duckman ran the freakin NCAA dynasty for a few years as well- I cracked up when I first saw grudenville posted on here and them saw his name as the global admin. He always was a funny kid. He and Harry had some epic dustups.
