I want to believe, but I have a few questions regarding the timing.
Gruden knows that will need to recruit to win. Why wouldn't he want to announce as soon as possible after the Dooley firing?
There's nothing to stop him from recruiting and finishing out his MNF contract. Urban Meyer did something similar.
Waiting for weeks after Dooley has been canned just doesn't make sense.
Can someone tell me what I'm missing?
One may also wonder if some of that Meyer stuff broke earlier than the principle players intended it to break. Who knows, somebody could be saying that we don't want the same thing to happen here.A lot of People forget that the Big 10 put together a petition to the Big 10 commissioner for Meyer to stop recruiting while the other coaches and teams were practicing. They saw it as unfair, whether it was or wasn't, it worked and he had to stop.
I don't blame you in the slightest for thinking this. One some levels, the idea of Gruden coaching here almost seems ridiculous. I imagine fans of other teams laugh when they hear the rumors. Fortunately, that doesn't mean they aren't true. You haven't seen me call out many people about their gruden info. I have just always felt that he wouldn't take a step backwards, as considered by the coaching community, to chase after 18 yr olds to convince them to play football.
I was just thinking the other night. What year was volnation started? I know I have been reading on here for years and years and just joined. But was curious how long ago it was started.
