I want to believe, but I have a few questions regarding the timing.

Gruden knows that will need to recruit to win. Why wouldn't he want to announce as soon as possible after the Dooley firing?

There's nothing to stop him from recruiting and finishing out his MNF contract. Urban Meyer did something similar.

Waiting for weeks after Dooley has been canned just doesn't make sense.

Can someone tell me what I'm missing?

Don't know, other than to say that those running the show have their reasons for the timeline.

We can speculate, but nobody really knows the details of the ESPN contract, the Corona endorsement, or the Hooters sponsorship. This is not like any hire we've made before.....many more moving parts.

Also, Grudens personal relationship with Dooley cannot be stressed enough. They have developed a friendship and family ties by all accounts. The last thing he wants is to gain a reputation as having stabbed somebody in the back to get their job....especially a friend.

I have really good information that I am confident in from sources that I believe. I have heard that Gruden is the next HC. I have heard that it is just a matter of Long calling a PC. The information that we have received is not just "hopeful".

Don't know, other than to say that those running the show have their reasons for the timeline.

I cleaned out my 4-Runner and fueled up last night. I have a change of clothes with me and I was at my office an hour early today so I could make sure my responsibilities were done should I get the call. All examples of how much I believe it could be today and I will not change my mind unless I get a call from the same person that told me it could be yesterday or today.
