What I was getting at is you should start to hear what I and others have been saying from media outlets soon. I don't see how they can keep it quite much longer.

I know for me personally, I dont care one way or the other what Ainge thinks, I simply think it sparks curiousity bc of him being SO over the top Gruden to now denying him when not even prompted. I mean this was the guy with Gruden face masks on his page recently who was asking everyone out there to print them off and wear them to the games.

It just makes me want to know WHY. Something has to be up and he's making it obvious that it is.

Don't know, other than to say that those running the show have their reasons for the timeline.

We can speculate, but nobody really knows the details of the ESPN contract, the Corona endorsement, or the Hooters sponsorship. This is not like any hire we've made before.....many more moving parts.

Also, Grudens personal relationship with Dooley cannot be stressed enough. They have developed a friendship and family ties by all accounts. The last thing he wants is to gain a reputation as having stabbed somebody in the back to get their job....especially a friend.

Boro, would anyone not think Dooley has not heard all the speculation about Gruden coming here? Unless Dooley is telling the truth about not reading or listening to any media reports etc.? JMO, but I believe Dooley knows he's not wanted here any longer and we're going to have a new coach (hopefully Gruden) soon after the KY game. Surely Dooley knows that no one has stabbed him in the back for his job.

I don’t get his “He won’t come here because he would want a higher profile NFL job” stuff. I bet if you polled most people they couldn’t tell you the names of half of the NFL coaches. Sure you may hear some of the bigger names but to be honest with you I couldn’t tell you more than three or four and I consider myself a NFL fan. But if you asked the average fan if they knew who Saban was or Chip Kelley, Spurier, Mack Brown, and many others they could tell you. I really think in this day and age you can become more well-known at the college level if you’re playing at a big school.

Seriously doubt that would be the case. I don't see how Gruden is going to care about any "leakage" other than of the anal variety.

Dan, the info is here, on this board and it's highly unlikely that Ainge could or would tell you anything that hasn't already been discussed here.

He has a radio "show" that provides "entertainment" to his listeners. Very few folks take his word as the gospel of truth.

Nobody that values a friendship or business relationship with their source is going to out them and if that's what you're after, you may be sitting there barking up that tree for a while.
