Maybe Ainge will adjust his story about Gruden a little bit on the air after talking to Dan and at least leave himself an "out," in case Gruden comes.

A 180 flip to over the top obvious denial is already an out for Ainge. All he has to say is that he was asked to do it because Gruden was getting antsy about the media attention before Dooley was official canned.

My early reporting of the Gruden to UT story came out a bit early in the whole process and folks that I have great respect for asked me to squash my stance on it. When I was told that the media attention was making Gruden antsy I complied since I really wanted him coaching our Vols. I knew my listeners were smart enough to understand that my denial was obviously over the top and that my true stance hadn't really changed. You guys are awesome and it's a great day to be a Vol."

Ainge just did it again-dispelled Gruden rumors when his name was not even brought up. It's getting pathetic.

I emailed two contacts today, and got the same response. Before they were saying offer made, but now its a no go.

I am so torn, and hope that what is here in VN is true. My head is spinning.
