You are exactly right. I was somewhat playing devils advocate. I am very encouraged by the two nfl guys saying what they said the past 2 days but yesterday's was much stronger IMO. Today only said tenn would be grudens choice if he went the college route. If you believe he is very fond of us, which I do,then he could have put that our there to let us down easily.

For the record I don't think that happened today just possible is you are a smokescreen guy.

IMO mortenson was speaking much more about ark than he was us. Not a huge deal what he said in terms of our hopes for gruden.

I do not subscribe to the smokescreen idea much, but I think if you think that Gruden feels compelled enough for his colleagues to spare UT fans feelings, then it is probably not impossible to imagine our AD spreading misinformation to keep people from asking too may questions.

Both seem equally as plausible.

My point is that if Mort had been asked those questions 6 months ago, he would have immediately deflected the question to NFL teams. He did not need to inject UT, whether they were talking about Arkansas or not. If had not at least heard something, he would have said NFL.

When you google it, prior to clicking the link it says...

"Jon David Gruden (born August 17, 1963) is an American football coach and the newly announced head football coach at Tennessee."

When you go to page it says accepted instead of announced. It obviously wasn't announced lol. Somebody be trollin.
