Why wouldn't he say it if he knew gruden had said no??


He said the only college job he would be interested in was us. If he said he is going to the nfl what would stop him from wanting tenn folks to feel like we were his only choice if he wanted to do college??

I could believe that Gruden has been and will be in town.

I will never, ever believe that he was in a team meeting or a meeting with players of any sort.

We've never had to because they simply made an entirely new forum for it! FTR I believe Freak gets his handle honestly.

We've had epic troll jobs done to us because of how quick this group is to buy into the hope of good news. Desperate people will got to desperate lengths to find silver linings.

Why would he care about how we feel. For him to say anything but "Gruden is an NFL guy", is not ordinary. Not one NFL person has said it before. The normal line is "Gruden is an NFL guy". Period.

If you believe many on here gruden loves Tennessee. If he doesn't come here its very possible he would want tenn people to feel like we are the only job he would ever consider in college.

If he was going back to college and chose arkansas over ut, cindy would go lorana bobbitt on him. Even mort said the ut job would have his attention and the arkansas job for gruden is laughable.

I like your skepticism BruinVol it is healthy. You do find it interesting though that two NFL guys twos day a row mentioned it though?

Because it's Chris Mortensen. Not the rumor mill or the pity party parade. He said it is the only job Gruden would be interested in at a college level. If he knew Gruden had declined it, he would have avoided the UT comments and said "i expect him to make a decision on whether he wants to go to Philadelphia if the offer is made" that's why.


He has the inside info. Worth more than a simple "oh well"

Meanwhile, while we wait for news on who are next coach will be....this fan base is becoming more and more united. Hart can check that off his to do list. Go.Vols.

I don't think you just have to believe people on here that he loves Tennessee. I have heard him say it with his own words in interviews. Not to mention a lot of x players that have had contact with him in the NFL.

Some Trolls are trying to see how gullible folks are, and I think Freak needs to start handing out 30day+ bans to anyone putting out blatantly fallacious information.

I think everyone needs to be very patient of HII/Duck?Tafkap.......(the crew), as they have done nothing but try to bring some positive info to the whole Hog Nation in a time when we are/were all in shock. Every one thats a hog has been in pain since April and grasping for hope. We've gone through a sex scandal with bad publicity and many twists and turns. Granted there are worse acandals out there but this one is bad and on many levels.

What if there were details issues with reassigning staff members, the NCAA,The SEC not to mention The U of A's process and protocol. How about family members of the new coach. How about team dynamics. So many possibilities its mind boggling. I for one am choosing to stay confident that Jon Gruden is our nest coach and we'll know with the almighty announcement when it goes down. There have been some substancial leaks last night and today for me. Till then Thanks guys and Grude on!

I assure you IF and WHEN Gruden appears in Knoxville as our new coach. The arrival and car ride to campus will be done with a high level of secrecy. The AD has ONE person in charge of football travel and he is not talking.
