This thread is so epic! The march continues all the way thru. Even after Gruden is hired do you think we can keep this going? Maybe make it its own forum for us true followers?

I believe you and nor was I but you know there was a big number of posters that were very pro smart during the last off season. Why should SS effect ones opinion of smart ??

Sal Sunseri didn't help. People are just sick of Alabama's leftovers at this point with Dooley, Sal and Hart.

I think the other thing is that we believe we can get a proven coach with head coaching experience. This season has been a disaster and most people don't want to go the route of having to wait and see what we'll get with a defensive coordinator. We need a proven coach, that's for sure.

Because Dooley was a failure after coaching under Saban too.

Most people believe at this point that Saban runs the show and the assistants are just along for the ride.

Bruin, not to jump in unwelcomed, because of my age I want UT to have little if any dealings with Alabama staff members. The UT/Bama series was tied until we hired Bill Battle. Then the long 11 year winless streak began. Secondly, why settle for Smart if we have Gruden? Not trying to be argumentative.
