Just dont see Morris as a candidate on Gruden's staff. Never saw Gruden as a spread guy, plus he wouldnt be worth his salary and whatever the buyout. I would bet he has a cpl guys in mind but Chad not being one of them. But who knows.

As a person with no relevant connections to the hiring process I have no choice but to pick and choose who I believe on here and place a certain amount of trust in them.

As everyone is virtually anonymous on here, the amount of trust is small, but the amount of hope is large! I hope our insiders are correct, but for me to say "he is coming" with certainty requires an extraordinary leap of faith on my part.

I do think our Gruden positive posters (sounds like a disease hah) are sincere for the most part. I choose to believe they are delivering accurate information to the best of their knowledge.

Totally OT, but hell I'm a night shift guy so I really don't care. I saw where you said your family had a house at Teton Pines and there is something I wanted to ask you. If you could only play one round of golf in JH would you play at Teton Pines or JHGTC? Thanks.:hi:

Let me try this another way. Are you saying that it is a fact that Jon Gruden is not going to be the HC at UT because you have no seen conclusive proof that he is going to be? Or, do you have some proof that he is not going to be?

There is certainly some truth in this, but the flip side is his raw potential and physical skills may be offset by a somewhat questionable work ethic and mental immaturity (both as to the game and personally). People said much the same thing you said about Bray about Ryan Leaf. Now I'm not saying that Bray is nearly as big an idiot as Leaf turned out to be, but teams are well aware of the expensive busts in past, and they do pay significant attention to factors other than potential and raw physical ability before dumping tens of millions of dollars on someone to be the next face of the franchise. If I were a GM there is no way I would spend a first round pick on Bray at this point in time, or Hunter (for different reasons). If Gruden comes Bray could benefit immensely from a year under his wing, and a year of no off the field drama as well, IMO. But if he leaves I wish him the best.

I totally agree with you here. BUT what if it falls through???? I'm pretty sure there is a backup plan, you would have to be pretty stupid not to have.

I do not play golf, but since our house was at Teton Pines I would probably play there but know nothing about the other course. I was only out there once in the Summer, most of those were spent in Destin area. I did cross country ski all over the Teton Pines course though lol.

We obviously know some of the same folks!! I'm really glad you and some of the other solid posters have shared what y'all have, because it ultimately got me to the conversation I had a little while ago. This person is having dinner with Jim in a bit, and they are going to the game together tonight. This person is not in the AD...but in the "gas business".

I do not disagree with anything you said about Tyler, but will add that work ethic and mental preparedness reflects leadership.

He could benefit from that, but could also have an almost rookie O-Line and unproven wide receivers and the toughest schedule in several years/

IF Tyler does stay, it would be because of Gruden. Thats the only reason I give him staying a 10% chance. I think Gruden will be in his ear from minute 1 about staying.
