Official Jon Gruden Thread VIII

Well the way things are playing out, the insider information certainly seems to hold a lot of water. You've got no denials from Gruden, Hart's presser was very encouraging, you've got Raheem Morris speculating on how well Gruden would do at Tennessee. The media is starting to treat it as a very real possibility.

The recruiting impact will be enormous. The class could include Lawson, Green, Ramsey, North, Levenberry, V. Bell and certainly there are other kids who will discover a renewed interest in the Vols.

I love fashion and that is a major no no!!

Jay...

I don't remember if you were one of the guys discussing 'hurdles' a few weeks ago...if not, maybe one of the other OG's could pick this up.

When the some of the "hurdles" were cleared, did it involve one or more of the big boosters (Top 5 let's say) pointing out that certain things would get fixed in and around the AD or certain checks for certain things would get stopped?

And supposedly all of that was part of the "come to Jesus" held with several people (Cheek, etc) explaining what a healthy AD means to UT and that some of the more reluctant would do well to get out of the way and let the AD heal?

Just trying to see if a friend of mine actually knows something or is FOS.

Sounds good. You are close, if not there, to becoming a gif master.

I started to do a gif of the opening credits of the old TV show Branded where Chuck Conners (Dooley) is being shown the road.

Then I thought that most of the posters here probably never heard of Branded, or Chuck Conners.

Thanks man. I've had a lot of fun making them. Don't feel bad. I've had a couple that I spent several hours on, only to trash them at or near the end.

I'm really hoping Gruden does come here. Besides resurrecting our program, he would be an endless source of perfect gif ideas. haha He's the man.

I dont think Morris is coming if his buyout is as high as it seems.

Just because Gruden wants HIM, does not mean Morris wants to leave Clemson. I think he's the highest paid assistant in the country and he loves Clemson, OBVIOUSLY.

If you know the University's financial problem which I'm sure JG does, he'll understand that this is an unreasonable request...and that's assuming Morris would want to make what is contractually, a lateral move.

I understand. I just looked at his contract per that link, and seems like it would be too high to justify. If Gruden doesn't want a deal with us over that, then he is just petty.

I'll say this:

It's been said that a certain person is very unhappy that a building that has his name on it is underutilized and controlled by the academic side of things.
