Love all those bands.

Don't sound so stupid anymore, do I? I just really don't like AC/DC. I had a couple friends that thought they were the band of all bands and played them on loop. After two weeks, I couldn't take it anymore.

AC/DC is a ridiculously repetitive band that hasn't put out a good record in over 10 years. In fact, there is a band named 10 years that is better. Mad respect for Young, however.

The thing of it is, though, no one will know who 10 Years is ten years from now.

Saw Volbeat in Memphis and they were by far the best group there. Blew Megadeth, 3 6 Mafia and Evanescence out of the water. One of my top 5 favs

WE have very similar tastes, from GNR,To Pink Floyd,to A7X,,VolBeat Blue Oyster Cult,etc...then can just as quickly turn it to Johnny Cash,Waylon,Willie,etc...

but really into VolBeat right now, just really discovered them the last 4 or 5 months, but really into them...

I just appreciate good music....period...

guess thats the reason I have the 30 GB iPod Classic...lol

Never heard of those guys, will look into them. I really don't get into much country music. If I am competing in sound quality you use their music of Choplin.

If I am competing in Sound Pressure it will most likely be someone like YelaWolf, Gucci Mane or some other rap artist. Rock or Metal is not known for (SPL) Sound Pressure numbers.

My preference in rap is Tech N9ne, any Tech collabs, The Notorious B.I.G, 2Pac (R.I.P), E-40, Krizz Kaliko. Gucci, Drake, and Wayne are very overrated.

I didn't say the most relevant band. As a musician myself, I feel they fit that rock' n' roll vibe better than anyone. Oh, wait. I bet you're a great musician too.

No one knows who 10 Years is now. Everyone will know the name Lady Gaga for the next 50 years, doesn't mean shes one of the greatest pop artists to ever live. Your point remains moot.

it was more sarcasm than anything GMAN...but they are
pretty good ,they do blue grass covers of everything from Gin and Juice by Snoop Dogg to Big Balls by ACDC...they will cover everything in a bluegrass twist...and I'm more of a Beethoven guy myself, something haunting about his music...

and Lurtz, love me some A7X...RIP REV

Your point was moot the second you put 10 Years and AC/DC in the same conversation. I don't even see the correlation. I do, however, agree with your view of AC/DC being repetitive. They have a very distinct sound. You can recognize one of their songs two chords into it, even if it's the first time you've ever heard it.

I enjoy to play, but I'll never do anything great. I was in band and a section leader for 8 years and had a full scholly. Oh, and my alma mater has twice as many Championships as anyone in the State. GNR fits the vibe better IMO. You can stop trying to take pot shots at me, it doesn't work.

Put a meter in your car and Gucci, YelaWolf, Nicki Minaj, Lil Jon and their music will just hit higher SPL numbers and that is what you want in a competition.

You're not invited to our celebration/tailgate thing we are planning.

From a classical music standpoint, 10 years is a better band IMO even without sales numbers. Its just a matter of musical preference. Theres only so much repetitiveness I can take, and ACDC crossed that when they used the same chords in different variations for half of their hit songs. Catchy, yes, talented players, yes, variety, not even close. Its why they fell off. They couldn't evolve. Hence why Metallica has lasted.
