One thing that comforts me in this is how desperate I think that everyone involved is to win.. And fast.. The program can't wait around on an up and comer this time.

If it weren't for the appearance you're getting WAY to much pleasure out of coming in here wagging your finger at people (some simply because they have a shred of hope), I might buy all that you just said..

I am going to be pissed if we don't get him!!!!! How hard is it to say yes whatever you want and move on! Whatever money is spent on him he will triple by just being at UT. And I keep hearing the talking radio heads say well he wants full control and that crazy???? Really stfu give it to him that's what we need a guy to run our program 2 many people have a hand in it right now! Get gruden he will turn us around make us money and recruit the talent we haven't been getting. I mean that is a no brainier don't you think?????? GOVOLS

I am far from an insider. Never claimed to be. I have a relative who is a big donor at UT but he won't say a word. He has a stadium named after him at UT. I ask him for hints and he just laughs and shakes his head. That is by I believe all the insider people are FOS. Not trying to be arrogant, but I can see how it can come across that way on a message board.

Call it what you want. Does not hurt my feelings at all. I get no pleasure from the Gruden nonsense. I'd love to have him, but it is of my opinion that its not happening.

just because they aren't on here every hour defending their position every day because other people deem it necessary doesn't mean anything...

One thing sure seems certain: If Gruden returns to coaching and chooses the NCAA, one would have to conclude UT has the best shot. If he goes back to the NFL, UT fans can forget about ever having him as a coach.

Last Sunday during an NFL game on CBS, the commentators said that he was looking into coaching again and had been contacting college coaches in order to assemble a staff. I tend to believe that means he is at least considering college football.

Distant relative?

I'd drive my family nuts wanting answers. But we are close so they'd spill it to me.
