When that got into the media yesterday Gruden told Tennessee they need to get this cleaned up asap. He probably doesn't want anything leak, as to not put ESPN in a bad position. So now they're leaking stuff about meetings and this and that. Maybe?

So this is the second time in three days that I have heard Zook's name. The first incident is cryptically buried in the forum. Now this. Could be coincidence....I guess.

BTW, Gruden gets to work at 3:30a every day. He's done that for years. Even now that he has a booth job, he still does this EVERY day.

Not sure why he would be texting with Zook and meeting with him in Tampa, unless . . .

I believe the first incident Lex is referring to is the incident where Gruden and another 'unnamed' coach were on a plane together. Based on Lex's comments I now believe that person to be Zook.

UT has a press conference in late afternoon open to a few members of press to get the word out that they have ended their search and it will be officially announced Friday.

Hubbs announces Friday press conference to name coach.

VN goes into meltdown over the Golden hire.

Grudenites hold onto Glimmer of hope of a smoke screen.

Tommorrow at 11:00 report or two of Gruden sighting. No one, other than Grudenites buy it.

Press conference at 2:00 ....vol fans (not Grudenites) with bic lighters and mattresses doused in lighter fluid ready to strike.

Few things...

1) Hart has been way too calm during this. We've been without a coach for 12 days now and he's still making time to go to basketball games and has been seen in his office. I don't think it's because he's lazy. It's because he's already got his guy. It's a heck of a coincidence that he is supposedly "interviewing" Golden today after a story leaks yesterday.

2) You don't move $18M for Al Golden. You just simply don't.

3) Jon Gruden will be our next coach. All of what you're hearing is calculated by Gruden and/or Hart at this point.

Um, been following this thread and this board for a long time. I never said it wasn't Gruden. I merely posted info straight from the Zook interview this morning. It's an FYI. Nothing more. I said take it how you may. Just making sure this wasn't directed at me.
