It's been a roller coaster ride and things didn't look good but look better. That's been the whole process. I got tired and slept really good last night because I've been so worked up over this. If it turns out not then so be it. But...
I'm all in until it's all out
Let me start by saying I have no clue whether it will be Gruden, but during the last search Muschamp was UT #1 guy I believe and there were many rumors then about offers, counter offers, etc.
Vols may be in hot pursuit of Will Muschamp » GoVolsXtra
When the deal fell through, since it was a huge at that time, UT announced that it would not be Muschamp.
UT official says Muschamp expected to stay - Houston Chronicle
So I suspect when it stops being Gruden, UT will announce it so that everyone can move on. Until then, I suspect Gruden is probably still in play. Just my 0.02 cents.
You'd think you guys have never negotiated anything before . . .
You have to give the impression you're willing to walk away .... even when you're not. I'm telling you this is two sides negotiating the heck out of this. That doesn't generally happen unless both sides are intent on making a deal work.
Negotiating is an art.
A friend of mine told me his daughter went to buy a used car, alone. Wanted to do it herself. She found an old, used junker, saw that it ran and the radio played and said this the salesman. "What do you want for it, I've got $3,500.000."
Guess what the price was? Yep, $3,500.00.
If you have no input on the coach hiring process at UT, then why not enjoy the ride?

I feel ya bro, just need to stay of this site until someone is announced!Hope and pray it's gruden! But with Haslem saying he isn't involved with the coach search makes me think a lot of people are passing things off as bulls***!
